“The first year was difficult for all of us but the second year was much better, we adjusted to things very fast. This year has been the most difficult year so far as we have come as the defending champs and the table suggests nothing is certain,” the French player added. Chennaiyin players Siam Hanghal, Hans Mulder, Mehraj Wadoo and Anirudh Thapa also interacted with their fans and the media. Speaking on the season so far Wadoo said: “The most important part is that we are back to our winning ways. It’s very difficult when we are defending champions; everyone wants to get that win against us. The squad is good enough to defend the trophy this season too,” he added. Hans Mulder, is the latest addition to Chennaiyin FC. “It’s been amazing for me to play in India. ISL has really grown and improved the playing standards of football in India as well. When Marco (Materazzi) showed interest in me and I made my mind very fast,” he said.
