PV Sindhu clinches China Open

The Rio Olympic Silver medalist made a comeback in the final set to seal the game. After an arduous battle of 69 minutes, Sindhu defeated Sun Yu by 21-11, 17-21, 21-11. In the first half Sun Yu failed to keep up with Sindhu's speed and agility and Sindhu grabbed the set by 21-11. But in the second set China's local favourite clawed her way back in and won the set by 17-21. 

The 21-year-old Hyderabadi maintained her calm to clinch the deciding set and the title by 21-11.

Sindhu became the second Indian after Saina Nehwal to clinch China Open Super series. Saina won the title back in 2014.
