CSG bowlers did well to restrict Dindigul to 145 for eight in 20 overs. Though it slumped to 56 for three in its chase in the 10th over, Antony Dhas (38 off 21 balls) and Sasidev (45 off 32 balls) played attacking shots to guide CSG home with two balls to spare. Dhas and Sasidev put on 69 runs in seven overs.

The home team started well as Jagadeesan and Ganga Sridhar Raju hit two fours each in the first two overs. Super Gillies resorted to early spin and that seemd to work for Chepauk. After Yo Mahesh sent back Ganga Sridhar for 15 caught by Antony Dhas in the deep, Jagadeesan opened up but left-arm spinner Alexander applied the brakes with a good ball that brushed the pads of Subramania Siva and bowled him.

Dindigul maintained a healthy run rate at the half-way mark reaching 83 for three but Jagadeesan’s fall in the 14th over for 53 off 42 balls halted the Dragons. From 101 for 3, it started losing wickets as Sai Kishore with his left-arm spin restricted scoring.

Good outfield catching also helped Chepauk Super Gillies as Dindigul could hardly score in the last two overs. Wilkins Victor tried to push the score up with a quickfire 45 off 40 balls but his exit signaled the end of the Dindigul fight.

Brief scores: Dindigul Dragons 145/8 in 20 overs (Jagadeesan 53, Wilkins Victor 45, Antony Dhas 2/30, Alexander 2/21) CSG 146/5 in 19.4 overs (A Dhas 45 n.o., Sasidev 40 n.o., Natarajan 2/24)
