Masters meet in Karur

The overall trophy is presented in the memory of the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and is awarded to the district which tops the medal tally. The last edition of the championship was hosted by the Chennai District Masters’ Athletic Association. More than 1600 athletes (men and women) are expected to take part in the meet under various age categories. The age bracket for the participants is from 35 to 95. 

This meet will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the National Championships to be held in Bangalore from February 21 to 25, 2018. Tamil Nadu will look to clinch successive titles after bagging the overall championship in the previous edition in Hyderabad.
