A brace from Thamaiah, goals from Arunraj and Sanjeev Kumar were enough as the winner won the contest with a brilliant second half performance. Despite trailing 0-1 in the first half, Hockey Academy managed to pull things back, scoring four goals in a matter of just 22 minutes.

V Raja struck twice for Indian Bank but his effort went in vain as his side bottled up a two-goal lead. IB got off to a very good start, opening its proceedings in as early as the 7th minute with a goal from Raja. It then doubled its lead courtesy another goal from IB’s number 9 Raja, who played a lone hand.

Hockey Academy clawed its way back into the contest with Thamaiah putting the ball into the back of the net twice in a span of 10 minutes, levelling things up at 2-2. HA continued its surge with another goal in the 58th minute by Arunraj. Sanjeev Kumar then put the game to bed in the 68th minute, ensuring a 4-2 lead for HA.

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) will meet ICF in the semi-finals while Southern Railway will square off against HA in the other final-four game. The games will happen at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm respectively.
