Panimalar has it easy against IIT Madras in the All India Inter-Collegiate Volleyball tournament

Panimalar dominated the game right from the first set, managing to pull it off by conceding just six points. It then continued its fine run in the second and third sets as well, enabling it to bring the contest to a close in straight sets. 

In another match, Sathyabama came up trumps in a nail-biting first set against Loyola, bagging it 26-24. Despite posing a threat in the second set, Loyola fell 22-25. Sathyabama then managed to finish it off by clinching the third set 25-16. It emerged victorious with a 26-24, 2522, 25-16 scoreline.

St Joseph’s and Jamal (Trichy) also secured wins against STC (Pollachi) and DG Vaishnav respectively. In the women’s category, St Joseph’s defeated IIT Madras in a one-sided contest. It won 25-11, 25-6, 25-9.
