“I feel a few decisions went against us in the game. If the refereeing standards are going to continue like this, none of the teams can secure a win. There was a case where hand ball was called by the linesman, but the referee later overturned the decision,” said Sathish Kumar.

“We did miss a lot of chances because of our poor finishing. We will have to get back to our training ground and start working on those areas. We didn’t deliver our best in the final third, but I am sure we will come up with better performances in the upcoming games,” he added.

Senior team assistant coach Jordi Gris echoed the same sentiments. “This is football. We will have to accept the result and move on,” he commented about the decisions that drew criticism.

Income Tax coach Raja Durai seemed pleased with his side’s effort after it managed to take a point from the match. “We did have our chances in the game. CCFC is stronger when compared to us and it might have had enough practice ahead of this game. We are happy with our performance. We were good in the middle of the park, but we will have to improve in key areas like offense and defence,” said Raja Durai.
