Kerala teams go all out in All-India Volleyball tourney
Kerala teams came to the fore on the fourth day of the All India Volleyball Tournament in Thoothukudi on Friday. In the three matches played, Kerala teams scored one-sided wins.

In the first match played under men’s category, Cochin Customs prevailed over South Cental Railway (SCR) in five sets. Both the teams delivered their best in the match and won alternate sets.
While Cochin Customs won the first set by 25-20 SCR bounced back by securing the second set 25-23. The third set was the toughest in the match, but Cochin Customs won the set 31-29.
However, SCR again bounced back in the fourth set by winning 25-23. In the fifth and deciding set, Cochin Customs prevailed over SCR by 15-6. The final score was 25-20, 23-25, 31,29, 23-25 and 15-6, in favour of Cochin Customs.
In the second match, in the women’s category, Kerala Police crushed South Central Railway in three straight sets. 25-21, 25-13 and 25-23 was the final score, in favour of Kerala Police.
In the third match, in the men’s category, Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), Thiruvananthapuram defeated Southern Railway in four sets. Though the first two sets were taken by KSEB Southern Railway gave a tough fight in the third set by winning it 30-28. However, the fourth set was won by KSEB which won the match 25-17, 25-23, 28-30 and 25-16.
