Midfielder M Nandhini and forward Sabina Khatun took good shots at the goal but the Manipur team had the better of the exchanges with Nongmaithem Ratan Bala Devi scoring two.
“They are a very experienced side,” said Sethu FC coach Kalpana Dass about the opposition.
“Given that our girls are still relatively new on the big stage, I’d say it was only expected. Our girls started drawing back to defend and weren’t in a position to challenge.”
The final round of the championship comprises seven teams, with the top four making it to the semi-finals following an all-play- all league. Sethu FC next plays Gokulam Kerala FC on March 29.
