The event, which will play host to 36 teams from across the state, is organised by the Tamil Nadu Educational Department. In the Chennai qualifying leg that saw around 450 schools turn up, St Patrick’s emerged victorious by asserting its supremacy in all its knockout fixtures (5 Zonal, 4 Inter-zonal and 3 District).
Coming into the competition on the back of an impressive run, St Patrick’s will strive to keep its streak going. Key to the E Ebenesan-led team’s success is frontman S Rajagopalan, who netted in each of the qualifying contests. And, coach David would hope for more of the same come Sunday as the striker is currently on a purple patch.
