The session which is likely to last for five days, would begin with the customary Governor’s address followed by the Assembly condoling the death of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. From the third day, normal business would be transacted till the session ended.
This will be Chief Minister O Panneerselvam’s first Assemblysession as full-fledged Chief Minister. It remains to be seen how he would handle an Opposition led by a rejuvenated MK Stalin as the DMK’s new working president. Farmer suicides, drought and the State government’s approach to jallikattu are likely to figure in the debates.
