Waiting for ministers, students faint in queue

Two girl students, who were waiting for the ministers under scorching sun to receive the free bicycles, swooned.

Their condition improved after treatment and were discharged. It is said, free bicycle distribution was scheduled for the class 11 students at the Government Syed Murthuza Higher Secondary School in Tiruchy on Saturday and all the children were asked to assemble on the school premises by 8 am as the ministers Vellamandi N Natarajan and S Valarmathi were to distribute the bicycles. 

Despite the temperature was slightly high on Saturday, teachers asked the students to wait in the open space in the school. 

However, the ministers failed to reach on time. As time was passing, the beneficiary kids were turning restless. But, the students were told that the ministers were on their way. 

Though the ministers did not turn up at the school even after a delay of three hours, the students were forced to stay put. 

All of a sudden, two of the class 11 girls swooned. Soon, the teachers administered them first aid and rushed them to a hospital. 

Later, around 11.30 am, both the ministers arrived at the school and claimed that they were held up at some other function that is why the delay. Finally they distributed the free bicycles to the students. 

But, the school authorities however, did not inform the ministers about the swooning of girls.
