Addressing the media in Madurai, he claimed that his native village Venkatampatti is the first complete blood donation village in the state, describing that all the adults in the village, had donated blood at least once. Thirumaran further said, he had decided to travel for 6,800 kilometers in 12 days throughout the state and also in Bengaluru.

In his vehicle speakers were fixed and recorded messages about blood donation would be played. He also claims that when his car crosses each village, local people will definitely have a look at the vehicle and would at least listen to the message on blood donation.
