AIADMK rival camp members arrested in Delta
The supporters of O Panneerselvam and J Deepa were arrested in mass numbers across various places when they tried to take out rallies against Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy on February 17.

As many 105 members of Deepa Peravai led by former MLA Soundarajan gathered at MGR statue near Gandhi market, Tiruchy at around 12.30 pm and tried to take out a rally to the office of Minister Vellamandi Natarajan appealing him not to support Palanisamy. However, they were stopped by the police. When the protesters refused to pay attention to the police warning and resumed their rally, all the members including 23 women were arrested. Similarly, as many as 157 members led by former minister TP Poonachi who gathered in front of the Manachanallur Taluk office tried to take out a procession to their MLA’s office. They too were held by the police. As many as 119 members led by ex-MLA Chinnasamy in Manapparai too were held for rallying to MLA’s office. Similar rallies were held in the districts like Thanajvur, Pudukkottai, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts also.
