Earlier, he accompanied former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam to meet Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and explain their views on Saturday’s Assembly proceedings.
Addressing the media at the Greeways Road residence of Panneerselvam, Pandiarajan said that the AIADMK MLAs would understand the magnitude of simmering tension only when they meet the people from their constituencies.
“We clearly explained to the Governor on what transpired in the Assembly on Saturday. Further, we also sought of him to suspend the vote of confidence and demanded that the Speaker must conduct a fresh vote through secret ballot five days after the MLAs visit their constituencies,” he said, exuding hope that they would win the confidence motion if the Assembly Speaker allowed a secret ballot.
Stating that MLAs from the OPS team had visited the people and were welcomed with great enthusiasm, Pandiarajan said, “The media has the responsibility to show the kind of response Sasikala’s MLAs will get from the public.”
