In camera proceedings held in Dhanush identification case

At the end of the argument, lawyers from both the parties refused to comment on the proceedings, stating that the case has been adjourned to March 20.
An elderly couple from Melur, Kathiresan and Meenatchi, petitioners in the case, claim that actor Dhanush is their son and that he had ran away from home to join the film industry. After several rounds of hearing, the Melur couple had demanded that the actor undergo genetic test to prove their claims.
The hearing of the case was scheduled on Thursday but was not heard in open court. The hearing of the case was held in the judge’s private chamber on Thursday evening. The arguments went on for close to two hours. However, the lawyers representing both the parties refused to speak to the media.
When Titus, counsel for the Melur couple was approached, he too refused to divulge in the details of the case hearing, stating it wouldn’t be ethical to do so. Interestingly, the Melur couple, which till now has been quite media-friendly, refused to speak to the media.
