TN CM Edappadi K.Palanisamy meets protesting farmers in Delhi
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisamy on Sunday met the farmers protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi over drought relief funds and loan waivers.

The ongoing agitation by Tamil Nadu farmers at Jantar Mantar demanding drought relief funds and waiver of agricultural loans from the central government intensifies as farmers met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisamy.
Palanisamy ensured that he would meet the Prime Minister and put forth the farmers demand to them. He also urged the farmers to put an end to the protest.
Tamil Nadu farmers have been protesting for over a month now. P Ayyakkannu, state president of the National South Indian Rivers Linking Farmers Association, who is leading the protest said that they will only end the protest once they get a positive response from the Centre.
Several ministers and political leaders have already met the protesting farmers, including Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon. Radhakrishnan, MDMK general secretary Vaiko and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
Leaders from Tamil Nadu cutting across the political spectrum have offered their support to the state's farmers who have been protesting at Jantar Mantar for over a month demanding a drought relief package of Rs 40,000 crore from the Centre and farm loan waiver.
