42-year-old worker buried alive in Coonoor

Ravikumar (42) and a few others were digging soil for construction work in Upper Coonoor when the tragedy happened, police said.

Suddenly, the soil caved in and Ravikumar and another person were trapped. By the time Ravikumar was pulled out he was dead, police said, while the other worker came out safely. A search was on to ascertain whether any other worker was caught in the soil, they said. 

Ravikumar is a VCK functionary in Madurai district.
