6 acres more for Kalam memorial: Collector

As the second anniversary of Kalam, which falls on July 27, is fast approaching DRDO officials and Ministers are inspecting the works at Kalam memorial. While interacting with officials, Ramanathapuram Collector, S Natarajan, who accompanied Christopher said that the present memorial is situated at 3.5 acres of land. 

They had also requested for extra 0.5 acres of land close to Kalam memorial in which a community hall is situated. Along with that six acres of land has been sanctioned along with the 0.5 acres of land, he said adding that a GO has also been passed. Presently, 10 acres of land is available for Kalam memorial. said the Collector.
