TANATA exam on August 12

The Tamil Nadu Aptitude Test in Architecture (TANATA) 2017 for admission to B Arch degree programme under management quota and government quota for the year 2017-2018 will be held on August 12.

This is for those students who did not write or clear the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The exam is especially for the students from Tamil Nadu to fill the lapsed seats, as only 2,009 students from Tamil Nadu cleared NATA.  TANATA is for 3,043 granted seats, out of which 1,892 are for government and government-aided colleges. An additional 157 seats have been surrendered under the government quota and the rest are management seats. This test is for filling the seats in 49 architecture colleges, out of which 40 are private colleges and eight colleges that offer both engineering and architecture.  

The announcement of the test was released on July 24. Online registration commences on July 24 and ends on July 31. Students can download the hall tickets from the Anna University website on June 7. The test will happen on August 12. The scores will be announced on June 18 and they will be available for downloading from August 19.
