Septuagenarian dies of chest pain on train

A 73-year-old passenger of Pandian Express breathed her last in the train after she developed a chest pain in the moving train on wee hours of Saturday.

It is said, the couple, Mani (76), a retired railway employee and Hemavathi (73) from Villivakkam in Chennai went to Madurai for a temple visit. It is said, on Friday, they started returning to Chennai from Madurai. 

When the train reached Manapparai in Tiruchy past 11.30 pm, Hemavathi developed chest pain. Mani, searched for doctors to give first aid but there were no such passengers and so the TTE alerted the Tiruchy junction railway station where an ambulance was kept ready. 

However, before reaching the railway station, Hemavathi breathed her last. After the train reached the station, the doctors who were waiting confirmed her death.
