The prime agenda of the meet is reportedly keeping Dinakaran and his company from running the party affairs and the government.

“The agenda for the meeting will also include taking a call on as to what the role of Dinakaran should be in the party besides the merger of the two factions,” reliable sources said.

EPS had been asserting himself as the face of the party ever since the conviction of the party general secretary VK Sasikala.

This was evident in the string of state sponsored festivities as part of MGR Centenary which began in Madurai. He was also seen consolidating his base by keeping the cabinet colleagues and the legislators in good humour. EPS is learnt to have used the dissident legislators’ demands as his strength as they fear about their prospects in case of dissolution of the government.
