It is pertinent to note Naidu attended the swearing-in ceremony as Centre’s representative when the late CM J Jayalalithaa romped back to power for a consecutive term in the State Assembly Polls 2016.

Besides attending the function, which will see the participation of top leaders from across the country, the CM has sought time to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He’s likely to take up the NEET exemption issue with Modi as both the union ministries - Home and Health have recommended

against the exemption.

The CM might also make lastditch efforts as the last date to conclude the counselling process as per the Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines has been fixed as August 31. He is also slated to visit his party headquarters on Lloyds Road, Royapettah, to take stock of the internal party affairs among other things ahead of his Delhi trip.
