Aavani car fest in Tiruchendur

* Temple gates were opened early and special prayers were conducted.  

* Three cars were pulled in the festival. First was the car of Vinayaka. It was followed by a car in which the idols of Lord Murugan and Deivanai were placed. The third was that of Valli. 

* The Aavani festival at the temple commenced on July 12. The car festival is always held on the 10th day.

* Special buses were operated to Tiruchendur and a large number of police personnel were deployed for security at the temple.
