Addressing the media at Madurai airport, Pon Radhakrishnan said the DMK is eagerly waiting for the end of AIADMK rule so that they can come to power. The party is trying to come to power through the backdoor method, alleged Ponnar.

When asked about the faction of sidelined AIADMK Deputy General Secretary TTV Dinakaran, who is trying to pull MLAs to his side and the problems faced by the factions, he replied that it was the internal problem of the AIADMK and he does not want to interfere in that.

To question about a former AIADMK MLA Nainar Nagendran, merging with the BJP, he replied that it is the beginning as a large number of functionaries from both the AIADMK and DMK would join the BJP. The Dravidian parties are facing doom days as they are going to crumble soon, said Pon Radhakrishnan.

He also added that their only aim is to bring the BJP to power in TN. On allegations that the AIADMK is controlled by the BJP, he replied, “BJP is not controlling the AIADMK and there is no need for it. If the BJP controlling the AIADMK is true, all the AIADMK functionaries would have joined the BJP by now.”
