DMK may drag BJP, PT to court over allegations in Anitha suicide
Leader of Opposition M K Stalin on Monday hinted at his party moving the court against Puthiya Tamizhagam president Dr Krishnasamy and state BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan for blaming DMK for the death of Dalit medical aspirant Anitha.

Asked about PT and BJP leaders blaming his party for medical aspirant’s death, Stalin told media persons after hosting opposition leaders at Anna Arivalayam that Krishnasamy and Tamilisai were attempting to divert Anitha’s death and they would initiate appropriate legal action.
When reporters sought to know if the Tiruchy condemnation rally was sufficient to draw Centre’s attention, the DMK working president said they were confident, but if the Centre and state do not blink, their next stage of protest would make them do (it). Notably, the hype over TTV Dinakaran loyalists visiting Arivalayam bombed big time with none of the AIADMK legislators or their supporters coming there.
Earlier, condoling Anitha’s demise and holding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami responsible for the tragedy, the all-party meeting said the student’s sacrifice has sowed the seeds in the minds of people to protect social justice.
Elaborating the flip flops of the BJP and the AIADMK on NEET, particularly the reported assurances given by Union Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, a resolution said the primary reason for Anitha’s demise was the submission made by the Centre in the Supreme Court that exemption could not be given (from NEET) for Tamil Nadu alone.
