In a petition submitted to Madurai City Police Commissioner, on Tuesday, they said that in the recently released Vijay starrer Mersal there were dialogues critical of the schemes of the Union government. The dialogues reflected the ground reality and there is nothing wrong in them.

However, BJP leaders could not digest the criticisms of the government schemes in the movie and unable to counter them politically started crticising Vijay personally.

Raja called Vijay as ‘Joseph Vijay’ and tried to portray that as the actor was a Christian he had spoken against the Union government.

The comments of Raja are intended to divide the people on communal lines and to introduce communal tension in the state.

So, police should book a case against Raja for his comment on actor Vijay.
