The tug of war between the two AIADMK factions over the Two Leaves symbol does not appear to end by November 10 with the advocates of sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran asserting that the case would not be completed on that date as required by the Supreme Court.

Leaders belonging to Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s camp too evade questions on the time-frame set by the Supreme Court.

The case which came up before the EC on Monday has now been adjourned to November 8. Law Minister CV Shanmugam said, “We cannot say if the EC will give its decision on November 10.  But, Dinakaran’s side had completed their arguments and we will take all efforts to complete the arguments on November 8 itself”.  Former minister KP Munusamy, who is usually assertive, also declined to reply to questions over a verdict on November 10. “Don’t ask about the verdict at all”, said former minister Thalavai Sundaram. However, Dinakaran’s advocate Raja Chendur Pandian asserted that the case could not be completed on November 10, since their side had the right to object to the submissions of Palaniswami group on November 8.
