Two snatch 3 kg of anklets from silversmith
Two unidentified persons snatched away a bag containing silver anklets weighing around three kilograms from a silversmith in Salem district on Saturday night.

Police said Murali, a silversmith from Kugai neighbourhood, was on his way home in a motorbike carrying a bag containing newly-made silver anklets, when he received a call on his mobile.
Murali stopped his bike to return the call, when two men snatched away his bag and sped on a two wheeler.
Police said the two were wearing helmets and their identity is not known. On receiving information, Sevvapet police rushed to the spot and held enquiries. Police have also secured two persons on suspicion and further enquiries are on.
