Minor sisters raped by brother, father, rescued
In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl and her nine-year-old sister, who were raped by their father and 16-year-old brother, respectively, were rescued by District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) officials on Tuesday. The father has been arrested and a hunt has been launched for the missing brother.

According to DCPU officials, the son watched his father rape the elder daughter for four months and began imitating his actions on his younger sister last week. The incident came to light when the DCPU got a call on Tuesday from a local of Tirunelveli district.
The girls, along with their deaf and mute mother, were rescued when the duo was not at home. The team then recorded the girls’ statement before taking them to Uvari police station.
The officials also took them to Tirunelveli GH for medical tests. Police said that the father, 47, was a mason, and his son had dropped out of school. Sources said the girls would be taken to the Child Welfare Committee(CWC).
