Kattupakkam school headmaster Arunkumar was suspended recently for not following the orders of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) officials to issue memos to two teachers.
During a review meeting, Arunkumar told SSA officials that the two teachers’ contribution was immense in the school recording full pass percentage and it was inadvisable to issue them memos. Taken aback at his resistance, SSA officials suspended him.
The federation also condoled the death of the four Class 11 students of Panapakkam and demanded that the suspensions of school headmistress Ramamani and teacher Meenakshi be reinvoked.
