39-year-old AR cop dies of dengue in Comibatore
Dengue claimed the life of a 39-year-old cop attached to the Armed Reserve wing in Coimbatore on Tuesday.

The victim Ramar, a native of Madurai district, was down with fever a week ago. He was treated in a private hospital, but his condition did not improve.
On November 22, Ramar was taken to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), where he was diagnosed with dengue. He was then treated in a special ward for dengue patients.
Despite treatment, the cop became critical and was moved to the intensive care unit of the hospital on Monday night. However, Ramar died without responding to treatment early Tuesday morning around 4.45 am. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Coimbatore City Police Commissioner K Periaiah paid respects to his body at the hospital. The body has been taken to his home town for final rites.
