After inspecting the cyclone hit Kanniyakumari district, Tamilisai told mediapersons that she had inspected various cyclone hit parts in Kanniyakumari district and the Centre is effectively lending support to State government in rescue operations.
Many of the parties in Tamil Nadu are criticising the role of BJP in tackling the fury of cyclone, but many of the party functionaries inspected the cyclone hit parts of the district and offered help.
Tamil Nadu government had no proper information about the number of fishermen who had ventured into sea and also the number of those who had not returned, said Tamilisai Soundarajan.
