"EPS-OPS government will fall in 3 months," says TTV Dinakaran

Talking to media at Madurai airport, Dinakaran referring to his lead over rivals in the RK Nagar assembly constituency to which the counting is progressing at Chennai, said "it doesn't matter who has the party's name and symbol, because today it has been shown that we are the true AIADMK. What matters is the who the 1.5 crore party workers are sided with, he said.

Claiming victory in the RK Nagar by-poll, Dinakaran said he was former Chief Minister Jayalalitha's "true successor." The people of RK Nagar assembly constituency have chosen Amma's (Jayalalithaa) successor and reflects the mindset of the people of Tamil Nadu, he added.

The RK Nagar by-election was necessitated by the demise of Jayalalithaa in 2016. The election campaign was marred with reports of distribution of cash for votes by political parties.
