The bridegroom Shiva Kumar and bride, Elizabeth Ann, were neighbours and fell in love when he was studying medicine. It was strange that when the parents of the couple met, Elizabeth Ann and her father, Stephern Powell, had insisted Shiva Kumar and his father, Alagappan, to conduct the marriage in a Hindu traditional way.

So Alagappan, arranged the marriage in a hotel in Madurai with just 12 relatives, from both the sides as invitees.

Dressed in the traditional attire, Shiva tied the knot and took up vows with Elizabeth. After the marriage Elizabeth said that her dreams of getting married in the Hindu traditional wedding was fulfilled.
