Man, son killed in car crash
A man and his son were killed and another person was seriously injured, after their car rammed into the rear of a stationary lorry at Maruloothu village on the Madurai-Kanniyakumari four lane highways on Sunday.

Police said the deceased were identified as Thyagarajan (60) and his son Arul Prasath (29). They hail from Kadayanallur in Tirunelveli district.
Thyagarajan and his son Arul Prasath were running a travel agency in Chennai.
On Sunday they were returning back to the city after visiting their native village in Tirunelveli.
The mishap occurred when their car driven by Raja (28) neared Maruloothu village on the highways. Raja was admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital at Madurai in a serious condition, police sources added.
