The actor, who made news recently for his Harvard address during which he played down talk of a political alliance with Rajinikanth, is expected to get the appointment by Thursday – after which he can go about the necessary procedures.
However, when contacted, a spokesperson from Kamal’s team said, “As of now, there has been no official appointment sought by Kamal with Chief EC OP Rawat. We don’t know where these rumours are originating from. He is just getting back to India, and there is no time to do all this in a hurried manner. When the party is registered, we will be happy to make a public announcement ourselves.”
Meanwhile, during his time in Boston, Kamal also stated that he wouldn’t be acting in films anymore except for the two movies which are coming out.
