20 IAS officers promoted to selection grade

The orders issued by Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan said the officials can draw arrears of pay and allowances effective from January 1. 

The officials promoted are S Nagarajan, Dr Dares Ahamed, Dr Ashish Kumar, M Balaji, V Sampath, CN Maheswaran, B Maheswari, V Amuthavalli, M Mathivanan, J Jayakanthan, K Baskaran, M Karunakaran, S Natarajan, V Rajaraman, K Nagarajan, R Selvaraj and R Lilly among others. JCs would be re-designated as Additional Commissioners and Joint Secretaries would be re-designated as Additional Secretaries, in their respective posts.
