According to sources, the ADGP arrived at 10.30 am and the enquiry lasted for more than an hour. The officer was said to have answered questions asked by retired judge Arumugasamy.
The commission has been enquiring with politicians, bureaucrats, relatives of VK Sasikala, Jayalalithaa’s close aide, and workers who were associated with her, about the former CM’s death. Former Chennai Commissioner of Police and current DGP, Tripathy (Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board) had appeared before the commission on Monday.
After Sasikala was evicted from Poes Garden in 2011, Amaresh Pujari served as Inspector General in the state intelligence the same year. The commission may summon some persons from Sasikala’s side in the coming days.
