The farmers outfit met the CM at his Greenways residence and presented two memorandums – one urging to set up Cauvery Management Board (CMB) and other to prevent methane projects from being established in Cauvery delta.

Speaking to reporters, Pandian said that they had insisted that the CM take steps to meet the Prime Minister along with CMs of Kerala, Puducherry, and Karnataka.

Since Telugu Desam Party had already submitted its no-confidence motion against NDA, the ruling dispensation should use this opportunity and vote against the Union government, Pandian said.

“The CM assured that a decision in this regard would be taken after consulting party seniors. He also told us that the state would positively consider our other requests,” Pandian said.
