Talking to media persons here, Gunasekaran said that a group, allegedly from north India, had collected money from gullible youth on the pretext of getting jobs at the Tiruchy airport and had cheated them.
He said recruitment of personnel for airports was a centralised process and would be done only by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Informing that the authorities came across some fraudulent recruitment advertisements by unscrupulous elements misusing the AAI’s name and logo in some dailies, the director advised the public to alert the AAI and the police if they noticed such advertisements.
Gunasekaran said that in most cases, the advertisers sought processing fee and more money subsequently.
“We never publish such advertisements and recruitment details will be published on the official website: www.aai. aero Similarly, the vacancies and recruitment are advertised through Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar and other leading newspapers.
