Support TDP’s motion, urges Thirumavalavan
The union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be overthrown and the AIADMK government should support the no-confidence motion moved by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for it, said VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan in Madurai on Saturday.

Addressing the media in Madurai airport, Thirumavalavan said that despite the Supreme Court directing the Union government to form the Cauvery Management Board (CMB) within six weeks, the Centre is purposely delaying the setting up of CMB because of the upcoming Karnataka Assembly election. “Union Minister saying that there is no reference of CMB in the Supreme Court direction is shocking and it shows that the BJP government is against Tamil Nadu’s interests,” he added.
He further said that DMK had announced that if the CMB is not formed all their MLAs would resign and in such a scenario, the AIADMK would face a tough situation. To avoid embarrassment, the AIADMK MLAs should also resign condemning the Centre he suggested.
He also said that there is no place for communal violence in Tamil Nadu and even when Babri Masjid was demolished there was no disturbance in the state. “So, the ‘Ramarajyam Ratham’ should not be permitted in Tamil Nadu,” demanded Thirumavalavan.
He went on to say that AIADMK had sacked its spokesperson KC Palanisamy, for his comments against the BJP and it is highly undemocratic.
