10 held for gangster’s murder

According to police, Saravanan was murdered on the Vazhudavur Road and investigations using the CCTV footage in the area proved that a gang led by Ansterraj of Manthope had committed the crime. 

On a tip off, police rounded up and arrested 10 accused near the Alamkuppam lake.

The accused were identified as Ansterraj, Anbu, Sooryaurthy, Manikandan, Ajaykumar, Ramkumar, Vignesh, Ajithkumar, Ruban and Dharma. On investigation, the police came to know that Saravanan was harrassing the sister of Ansterraj and unable to bear his advances, she had committed suicide last year. To avenge the death of his sister, Ansterraj murdered Saravanan.
