CM Palaniswami launches digital library website

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday launched a host of infra projects and infra development worth Rs 27.8 crore, developed by the Higher Education Department, including the state’s digital library website (www. tndigitallibrary.ac.in).

The website will host details of books available, research papers, subject matters and syllabi, among others, belonging to 13 universities, which was announced by late CM J Jayalalithaa in the Assembly. Colleges affiliated to these universities would be granted access to the online content which would benefit students and teachers. 

The CM also threw open the administrative sections and classrooms worth Rs 8 crore built for the constituent Arts and Science College of Madurai Kamaraj University which had come up in Kottur near Madurai. The entrance arch built in the Presidency College at a cost of Rs 40 lakh, administrative and classroom blocks of Bharathidasan University constituent college in Tiruvarur at a cost of Rs 7.25 crore and similar facilities constructed for a Government Arts and Science College in Erode, among others were launched by Palaniswami through video conferencing. 

He also handed out appointment orders for direct recruits selected by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board in a separate event.
