“Justice delayed is justice denied. Tamil Nadu people will never forget this injustice,” posted the Makkal Needhi Maiam president, who had stated during his Tiruchy meeting that the current focus of his party is to quicken the formation of the CMB and find a solution to the issue.

He had earlier said that much like during the freedom struggle, the people of Tamil Nadu must adopt peaceful non-cooperation in response to the Center’s inaction in setting up of the CMB to express their indignation. “We will not be distracted by other issues that are being instigated as a diversion from the CMB. What the Union government is doing is wrong,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Makkal Needhi Maiam has stepped up efforts to convene gram sabhas in districts across Tamil Nadu. The team has sent letters to Collectors across the state, urging that they be held without fail – as well as pamphlets to villagers, urging the public to fight for the cause.

“Please participate in the gram sabha meetings that will be held in your village without fail. Ensure that it is organised in places where they have not made arrangements. Let our actions cause a storm in our villages. This is your duty and right,” states the message to the people, with MNM reiterating that this is their party’s first step towards developing model villages across the state, as per Kamal’s original announcements.

Another important announcement from the camp will come on Monday, April 30, when they launch their Whistleblower app that is trending on social media already.
