TN tourist dies in Kashmir stone pelting
A tourist from Tamil Nadu died after being hit by stones during anti-government protests in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said here on Monday.

Sources said the tourist, R Thirumani (22) of Chennai, was initially admitted in the Shere Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences here with severe head and facial injuries and later succumbed to it.
A police officer said the tourist was injured during stone pelting.
“A girl from Handwor was also injured after they were attacked by stone pelters on the Srinagar-Gulmarg road near Narbal. The pelters also targeted vehicles, resulting in injuries to two passengers who were referred to a hospital for treatment,” the officer said.
