Road facility and bus connectivity to their hamlets on the hills of Vellore district, teachers for government residential schools and adequate and periodical supply of ration commodities were the other major demands of the community.
Earlier, the association members took out a rally from Saidapet to the collectorate. Officials and the public present at the collectorate were shocked as some came with snakes around their neck.
As the number of demonstrators were more than the capacity of the demonstration venue, police allowed them to sit under the flyover near the collectorate junction.
