In a statement issued on Saturday, PMK MP Anbumani Ramadoss said, “The teachers’ demands like scrapping contributory pension and implementing old pension scheme, should be implemented, as the council has announced yet-another indefinite hunger strike.” He slammed the EPS regime for using force on agitators to bring protests to an end.
R Mutharasan, secretary, CPI said, “Despite repeated protests by JACTTO-GEO, the state has not bothered to act and instead is fomenting the police use force.”
