International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year to increase awareness about yoga and its role in maintaining wellbeing. On the day, yoga events are conducted held the country involving thousands of people.
Against this backdrop, the Brahma Kumaris organisation, with the help of the civic body, set up three huts inside the Corporation campus. The huts were named Sakthi (power), Amaidhi (peace) and Anbu (love) and people are allowed to visit them.
Before visiting the huts, people were enquired about their problems and then were directed to the respective huts. Volunteers from the Brahma Kumaris organisation helped the public.
The volunteers said identification of problems and providing proper solutions is the key. Speaking to DT Next, Brahma Kumari Shenbagam of Madurai said that when people approach the huts their problems will be heard and the solutions will be explained through a series of charts available in front of the huts. For instance, when a person requires peace, he will be sent to a specific hut and if another person is love-starved he would go to another hut.
Inside the hut, the person would be made to meditate and suitable advice would be given through an audio player which should be keenly heard by the person inside the hut.
The meditation would last just three minutes and the person would be asked to perform the same meditation in their home to resolve their problems, said Shenbagam.
