Singapore External Affairs Minister calls on EPS, Stalin and Kamal
Singapore External Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, on Friday, met political leaders in the state including Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami and discussed the prospects of future investments.

Vivian Balakrishnan, along with Singapore High Commissioner Lim Thuan Kuan and host of other officials, met Palaniswami at his office in St George Fort and discussed the ongoing projects funded by the Singapore government in India and about the future projects that Singapore government is interested in.
Singapore, at present, is sponsoring the Urban Development projects in India such as Smart City project and AMRUT.
To implement the urban development projects effectively, the Union government had decided to give training for officials of seven states and Tamil Nadu is one of them.
After meeting Palaniswami, Vivian Balakrishnan also met Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan and DMK working president MK Stalin, in Chennai. In the meetings, the projects that Singapore government is interested in investing in the state were discussed.
High Commissioner meets CM
Indian High Commissioner for Malaysia Mrdhul Kumar and Indian Ambassador for Qatar Periyasamy Kumaran also met Palaniswami at his office.
Similarly, Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, too met Palaniswami and discussed about the role of NITI Aayog in the development of the country and the state.
